The story of Villa Icarus 🌿✨

Our story began in 2018, when we bought Villa Icarus as a renovation project. The renovations took place throughout 2019 and 2020, transforming the property into the villa you see today.

Then the pandemic changed everything. We found ourselves in Corfu through 2020 and 2021, and with more time to explore the area and enjoy the property, we fell in love with both. What started as a renovation project became something much more personal.

In 2022, we added the private swimming pool, followed by a further expansion of the patio in early 2023. These changes helped create the relaxed indoor-outdoor living that is such a big part of Villa Icarus today. ☀️

The main villa sleeps 8 across four beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, each with access to a balcony or patio and far-reaching views across the valley and mountains.

Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area flows naturally out onto the expansive patio, outdoor kitchen and BBQ — making it easy to spend the day together, moving between inside and out. 🍷🌿

And then there’s Icaraki, our separate self-contained apartment within the grounds. Designed to give one couple their own private space while still being part of the wider group, it means the whole property can accommodate up to 12 guests when booked together.

Set amongst the olive trees in Perama, Villa Icarus is just 7km from Corfu Old Town and a short drive from the airport. It’s close enough to explore the island, with beaches, walking routes and some of our favourite places all within easy reach, while still feeling like a peaceful place to come home to.

We’ve got to know Corfu very well over the years, and we’re always happy to share our favourite walks, beaches, viewpoints and restaurants — especially the places you might not find in the guidebooks. 💙

What began as a renovation project has become a place we really love. And we hope that when you stay, you’ll understand why.

One of the things we love most about Villa Icarus is the way the living spaces work together. 🌿✨

Our open-plan kitchen, dining and living area flows seamlessly out onto the terrace, connecting the inside of the villa with the eating and relaxing areas by the pool.

It means everyone can be together, whether you’re cooking, enjoying a long lunch, relaxing with a book or cooling off in the pool — with the doors open and Corfu all around you. ☀️🍷

Easy, relaxed living, just as a holiday should be. 💙

Evenings in Corfu Old Town have a magic of their own. 🌅✨

As the sun begins to set, the old streets take on a beautiful golden glow, and there’s no better time to wander through the squares and narrow lanes, find a little taverna, or settle down for a drink and watch the evening unfold. 🍷

And from Villa Icarus, the Old Town is just a short drive away — close enough to enjoy an evening out, before returning to the peace and quiet of the villa. 🌿💙

There’s still time for a late summer getaway to Corfu. ☀️🌿

We have limited availability in September and October, when the island takes on a slower, quieter feel. Enjoy warm days, beautiful beaches without the summer crowds and a little more space to explore at your own pace.

And with cooler temperatures, it’s the perfect time for walking, sightseeing and discovering some of our favourite places on the island.

One of the lovely things about our location is having the sea and Kanoni Harbour within walking distance. After dinner, the walk home takes you along the water as the sun disappears behind the mountains — not a bad way to end the evening. 🌊🍷

The best of both worlds at Villa Icarus. 🌿

Villa Icarus is made for families and groups, with space for up to 12 to come together and enjoy the villa, pool, gardens and everything Corfu has to offer.

But we know that sometimes, even when you're holidaying together, having your own space is rather lovely.

That's where Icaraki comes in. Tucked away among the olive, bay and oak trees, Icaraki is a beautifully self-contained apartment for two, with its own living space, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and private terrace.

It can only be booked as part of a stay at Villa Icarus, so the whole group remains together – but one couple has their own little retreat when they want it.

Perfect for grandparents, parents, or simply the couple who drew the short straw when it came to organising the holiday! 😉🌿
