Update on the wildfires from the Kassiopi Cultural Association:

Good morning! Regarding the fires in the North in the areas from Kassiopi and towards Palea Perithia, Sinies and Porta, the situation is under control and the fire is in remission.

Towards Nissaki it is more intense but fortunately the weather is good and the helicopters have all day ahead of them.
There is no reason to worry.

Also, those who had to evacuate are returning to their accommodations

Fortunately, there was no material damage to any houses and all the residents are safe.

Thank you all so much for your interest and everyone who actively helped out yesterday which was a difficult night.
