The joy of waking up here ….

and we have a rather lovely last minute September week available arriving on Sunday 6th September - the figs will be ripe, the sea warm and the island starting to become quieter

Annalena sits privately among olive and cypress trees in the hills about Kouloura with its own pool and easy access to the best of the north east coast

We sleep up to eight (but often less) in four en-suite bedrooms, many of our guests return each year and we’d love to welcome you too

The little harbour at Nissaki

We always call in here when we hire a boat, there are a couple of places to eat, including Oliva Restaurant which you can see here and is rather smart, there’s a taverna and a little snack bar too

Before we bought Annalena’s we used to stay in an old olive press close to here and there’s a lovely little walk along the coastal path past where we used to stay to a small beach, I still come here to swim as it’s really rather gorgeous

Baklava ice cream it is then …

I always recommend a trip up to Old Perithia to guests. In the spring and autumn you can hike here across the mountain right from our door, explore the abandoned village, stay for lunch at one of the traditional tavernas, buy some honey and hike back

We do all that in the summer too - we just drive, head north on the coast road past Kassiopi and look out for the turning a couple of miles further along on the left, then wiggle up and up

It’s a magical place and yes, the ice cream is delicious so is the honey too but just keep away from the tsipouro as that’s dangerous

When staying in is just as good as going out ….

We love going out, and there are so many fabulous places to eat along our little stretch of the coast here in Corfu, but sometimes you just fancy a quiet night in don’t you, well we do 😉

Fresh fruit, sea views and flags fluttering in the breeze …

These fruit vans are part of everyday life here - this one may be dressed for the beach, but they travel year-round from village to village, piled high with whatever is in season

Spotted at Avlaki, a great beach that always seems to catch the breeze so it’s perfect for hot August days

We have just one week remaining in 2026, 6th - 13th September - it’s a great week - warm seas, ripe figs and the crowds will have started to fade

A favourite spot for a swim - the rocks just beyond The White House Restaurant in Kalami - the water here is beautifully clear and if you feel like a walk it’s just 20 minutes along the coastal path to Agni or of course you can just pootle around the headland by boat
