Better late than never—reflecting on January's visitors, connections, and marking exactly one year since I decided to start The Goumenissa Project. What a journey it's been.

If December taught us anything, it's that Goumenissa has a way of making people want to stay longer than planned. January proved this wasn't a fluke, it's just who we are.

All roads lead to Goumenissa!

Join us this Kathara Deftera (Καθαρά Δευτέρα - Clean Monday) at 13:00 at the 23rd October Square, and celebrate the day the way it was meant to be celebrated - with dancing, a warm bowl of bean soup, sweet halva, and a glass of fine Goumenissa wine, all in the company of the famous Halkina (bronze bands) of Goumenissa. Come with an open heart, bring those you love, and let the day fill you with joy.

As we welcome 2026, we’re grateful for a growing community united by a shared love for Goumenissa. This past year, we explored village squares and vineyard paths, uncovered stories along the silk road, and celebrated the living traditions that define this place. Thank you to everyone—near and far—who continues to be part of this journey.

In 2026, we look forward to sharing more of what makes Goumenissa extraordinary: its people, music, flavors, and untold stories.

What an amazing surprise visit with the Greek Adventure Riders crew!

So great having you stop by The Goumenissa Project during Episode 3 of "Γκαζάκι Θέλει" on Mount Paiko!

We shared stories, memories, and plenty of our homemade pomegranate liqueur! It was pure joy watching you explore the region - from Goumenissa's town square to the Monastery of Saint Nikodimos, through the chestnut forests, all the way to Stravopatamos.

This is what it's all about - connecting people, sharing what makes this place special, and creating memories together.
