Where the cliffs crumble into the Ionian blue 💙

Apotripiti Beach feels like one of Corfu’s best-kept secrets — wild rock formations, crystal-clear water, and that peaceful feeling you only find in the north of the island.

Just a few steps here and the noise of everyday life disappears, replaced by the sound of the sea and endless shades of blue.

North Corfu at its finest. 🇬🇷

Golden hour hits different from up here 🌅

Perched at Akrotiri in Arillas—where you don’t have to choose between views.

Arillas Beach stretching out to the left, San Stefanos shining on the right… and the Ionian Sea stealing the show straight ahead.

Honestly, the only tough decision here is what to sip while watching this

📍 Logas Beach, Peroulades

Up here on the cliffs, time slows down. The sun hangs heavy in the sky, casting a silver path across the water that feels almost unreal. It’s not just a sunset spot — it’s a perspective shift. You don’t just watch the horizon here… you feel it.

The dramatic sandstone cliffs, shaped by wind and waves over centuries, drop into endless blue. And as the light fades, everything softens — the sea, the sky, even your thoughts.

If you’re chasing the kind of view that stays with you long after you leave Corfu, this is it.

🌞 Late spring in Arillas feels like a quiet promise before the island comes alive.

🌊 The sea is already shifting into that deep Ionian blue—calm, clear, and just warm enough to tempt you in for the first proper swim of the year. Gentle waves roll onto the wide sandy shore, breaking softly against the old concrete jetty that stretches out toward the horizon, as if guiding you straight into the open water.

🏝 Out ahead, the small rocky islets sit peacefully under an endless sky, untouched and almost dreamlike in the midday light. Everything feels slower here right now—uncrowded, unhurried, authentic.

🍹But you can sense it, the subtle build-up. Beach bars getting ready, sunbeds returning, the rhythm of summer quietly approaching. In a few weeks, this same stretch will be buzzing with life, laughter, and long golden evenings.

💙 For now, though, Arillas belongs to those who arrive early! The ones who get to see Corfu before it fully wakes up.

A clear winter sky over Corfu’s Old Fortress, framed from the Spianada — where Venetian stone meets open space and history breathes quietly.
A reminder that Corfu isn’t just a destination; it’s a timeline you can walk through.

Wandering through the Old Fortress of Corfu feels like stepping back into history.

Towering above the sea, this Venetian masterpiece has guarded the island for centuries, its stone walls and bastions telling stories of resilience, power, and culture. 🏰⚔️

From the majestic Church of St. George, which looks like an ancient Greek temple, to the iconic clock tower overlooking the sea and town, every corner offers a glimpse into the past. The views from the top are breathtaking—sweeping panoramas of Corfu Town, the Ionian Sea, and the surrounding coastline. 🌊⛪

Built in the 15th century by the Venetians, the fortress was Corfu’s shield against Ottoman invasions. Later, it passed through French and British hands, each leaving their mark. Without it, Corfu might not have preserved its unique blend of European and Mediterranean heritage. Today, it stands not just as a monument, but as a living symbol of Corfu’s strategic and cultural importance in the Ionian.

Walking through its massive gates, over the moat filled with small boats, and climbing up to the peak where the cross stands proudly, you can’t help but feel the weight of history mixed with the charm of discovery. This is more than just a fortress—it’s a reminder of Corfu’s strength, beauty, and timeless allure. ✨

📍 Must-visit when in Corfu.
⏳ Take your time exploring—every pathway reveals a new story.
📸 Don’t forget your camera—the views are unreal!

Early autumn mornings in Corfu Town still feel like a gentle embrace of summer 🌸☀️ Wandering through the quiet squares, I found jacarandas dressed in violet, hibiscus still blooming proudly, and bougainvillea spilling over balconies in a riot of pinks and purples.

The light is softer now, the streets calmer, yet the town hasn’t lost its vibrancy—just a hint of autumn settling in, whispering change while the flowers hold on to their final show. 🌿🍂

It’s the perfect season for slow walks, coffee in sunlit corners, and taking in Corfu’s charm without the rush of summer. Every corner feels like a painting waiting to be admired.

Would you rather explore Corfu Town in the height of summer or in this slower, golden season? ✨

A slow autumn stroll through Corfu Town is pure magic. The air is mild, the sun soft, and the alleys feel like they’re whispering stories of centuries past. Wandering the cobbled streets, every turn reveals Venetian arches, pastel-colored facades, and hidden squares where locals sip coffee unhurriedly. 🍂☕

The rhythm here is different in autumn—less crowded, more authentic. You can lose yourself in the labyrinth of alleyways, pause at a quiet church, or simply sit beneath the arcades of Liston and watch the town move at its gentle pace.

💡 Travel Tip: Visit in the late afternoon. The golden light makes the stone walls glow, and you’ll experience Corfu Town at its most atmospheric—just in time for a relaxed dinner as the lanterns begin to shine.

Perched high above Paleokastritsa, the village of Lakones is one of Corfu’s most picturesque spots. With its 17th and 18th-century Venetian-style houses, narrow stone-paved alleys, and breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea, Lakones feels like stepping back in time. 🏡

Nicknamed the “Balcony of the Ionian,” it offers some of the best panoramic views on the island — the kind that will make you stop in your tracks and just breathe it all in. 🌊

💡 Travel Tip: The road up to Lakones is winding and narrow — not for the faint-hearted if you’re driving! A great alternative is to take the local bus from Corfu Town to Paleokastritsa, then either hike or grab a taxi up to the village. Trust me, the views are worth every step (or hairpin turn).

Would you dare to drive up here or would you rather enjoy the hike?
