Two Weeks, One Big Adventure

Some things are just better done together — like combining your Competent Crew and Day Skipper courses into one incredible two-week adventure.

Week one: you learn the ropes, settle into life at sea, and start to understand how everything works.

Week two: you step up, take the helm, and suddenly realise just how far you’ve come.

The RYA Combined Course is the perfect balance of learning and living.

You’ll sail from harbour to harbour, clocking up real miles, learning as you go, and building confidence with every tack.

It’s a course, a challenge, and a memory all in one — and by the end of it, you’ll be a fully qualified Day Skipper.

After 16 unforgettable years of inspiring sailors of all levels at Sailing Holidays, Pete (also known as 'Uncle Pete' to many) is setting sail into the next chapter of life.

As our RYA Chief Instructor for the last 12 years, Pete has played a pivotal role in shaping the experience and training of countless students and colleagues alike.

From flotilla days in Croatia and Greece to leading yacht deliveries across the Mediterranean to dedicating his time towards our training school, Pete has left a lasting impact at Sailing Holidays.

While we’ll miss Pete's leadership and company, we wish him all the best for the future (and have made him promise to keep us updated with his travelling adventures and motorbiking moments, and to visit us in the future!)

Wishing you smooth seas and fair winds in your well-deserved retirement, Pete.
