Here is the problem with Googling 'best hotel in the Maldives'..... there isn’t one.

And you do not even have to leave one hotel group to see why.

Sun Siyam has five resorts in the Maldives, and they offer five completely different holidays.

The right one for a honeymoon could be completely wrong for a family of five. The island I would choose for someone obsessed with snorkelling is not necessarily the one I would choose for a family with teenagers.

One of them spans three islands and skips the seaplane entirely. One has a go kart track. That is five resorts, in just one group.

Now multiply that by every other hotel group out there and you can see how people end up with 36 tabs open and absolutely no idea which one to book.

And when the Maldives is a big holiday and a big investment, choosing the wrong one or more importantly the right one is a really big thing.

I have far more information on each of just these five alone, than I could ever fit into a carousel. That is intentional.

You do not need all the information. You need the right information for your holiday.

Just a few of the hills I’d die on.

I definitely know myself better now than I used to. I know what works for me, what doesn’t, and what I actually want from life... and from a holiday.

More than anything, I know how I want to feel at the end of one. Rested (as much as possible with the kids!) and like I chose it rather than settled for it.

And I think that’s a big part of what I bring to the trips I plan for other people too.

What’s one of yours? The small, petty ones absolutely count as much as the big ones 😂

Can I ask a small favour? ☀️

When you book with a small business, you are not a booking reference. Somewhere behind the confirmation email there is a real person doing a quiet happy dance in their kitchen.

That is me, every single time. Whether it is a week in Greece, a city break, or the big trip you have been talking about for years, every booking means the world. Not in a marketing way. In a "this is my whole business and I built it from nothing" way.

🇭🇷 With England playing Croatia tonight, it felt like the perfect excuse to talk about one of my favourite European destinations. 🇭🇷

I love Croatia for families and for couples, and I genuinely think Dubrovnik is one of the best city breaks you can do with children.

If your kids love castles, old walls and the feeling of stepping into somewhere properly historic, they will be in their element. The trick is where you stay.

Base yourself around ten minutes outside the city on the Babin K*k peninsula and you get the best of both worlds. Beach and pool during the day, then a quick bus or taxi into the Old Town whenever you fancy it.

You are not choosing between a beach holiday and a city break, you get both.

It is under three hours from Manchester, the water is some of the clearest in the Mediterranean, and beyond Dubrovnik there is so much more to explore. Split, Hvar, the islands and beautiful Istria in the north.

There is no single perfect way to do Croatia. There is the right way for your family.

Not every luxury hotel is a good family hotel.

I have stayed in places that look incredible on Instagram and are genuinely hard work with children. The price tag tells you almost nothing about whether it works for a family.

So before I place anyone in a hotel, I ask five questions. Who is the pool actually for. Whether the kids club is worth leaving them in or just a room with a telly. Where everyone sleeps, because a family squeezed into a room built for two is not a holiday. Whether you can feed the kids without a battle. And how long that transfer actually takes, because ninety minutes on a coach with tired children is not the start anyone wants.

These are the details that make or break a trip. A booking site cannot tell you any of it. That is what I am here for.

People ask me what I actually do all day. Well, I plan holidays.
That sounds simple enough, but it really is not.

So, I find the hotel that suits the family who want a kids' club but also a quiet adults' pool. I work out the multi centre route across Greece that gives you culture and beach. I know which Mallorca property is in the Tramuntana mountains and which one is two streets from the strip in Magaluf. I check what time the ferry runs to Ischia and whether you can do it with a buggy.
I talk to suppliers all day and I ring hotels directly. I wil find the hotel with the thick mattresses on the sunloungers because I know that kind of detail makes a holiday.

I left law in 2024 after 14 years because I was burnt out and not present for any of it. And Little Luxe Escapes was born from that. Because I know how it feels to want a holiday that gives you everything, and have nothing left in the tank to plan it.

So I do it for you.

Close your eyes and picture somewhere you feel completely calm.

For me, it's Cyprus. The sun on your face, the sound of the waves, the smell of the flowers. That particular kind of stillness you only get when you've switched off.

Cyprus has given me some of my happiest memories and I know it always will. I'll be sharing more of it on here over time.

But for now, if I could step back into this moment, I would give anything for it.

This is what I'm in the business of finding for people. It is not just a destination, it's a feeling you carry home with you.

Turkey prices for summer 2026 have genuinely shocked a lot of families this year.

The days of getting a luxury all inclusive in peak school holidays for “cheap Turkey prices” have mostly gone at the premium end of the market.

That said, resorts like Lara Barut Collection are still proving incredibly popular because families want:
