was created by organizations of Local Administration of Achaia region and its main role is to develop the agricultural sector of the region, by means of management & implementation of European Programmes. It has structures relevant to tourism, culture and development, and enough human resources to cover the project activities plus an experience in implementation and co ordination of EU funded proj

ects. The agency has managed the LEADER II, LEADER+ and LEADER 2007-13 Programs and was in charge of monitoring the Rural Areas Integrated Development Program. Currently the Agency implements its LEADER/CLLD 2014 -2020 Local Project. Regarding its transnational experience, the agency was a PP of previous Interreg and Leader co operation projects such as “WBB”, “GrItCUZINE” and “CI-ProEffect”, Eurovillages+ etc. It has a Certificate of Managerial Competency (CMC)-Type B from the Greek State and an ISO 9001:2008.

Our Story

ACHAIA-DEVELOPMENT AGENCY S.A., has been operating in the Prefecture since 1997. All 5 prefectures, agricultural associations, the Chamber and other local bodies are participating in the share capital, in accordance with European and national law. It has so far implemented projects with a total budget of over 50 million € in all sectors of the secondary and tertiary sector of the economy. Apart from the LEADER program, the company has also participated in the implementation of various European and national programs. In the current programming period, ACHAIA – DEVELOPMENT AGENCY S.A. is responsible for the implementation of the new CLLD / LEADER in the framework of the 2014-2020 Rural Development Program 2014-2020 and the Operational Program for Fisheries and the Sea 2014-2020 for a total amount of 10.150.000,00 €. The project area is the whole of Achaia, except for the urban center of Patras.
