Today, I would like to share a more personal connection !

Anna, whom you see next to me in the photo, is from Brazil. She bought my great-grandfather’s house in Stylianou, a small, abandoned village in Messinia.And she brought life...

Today, together with her family, we shared stories, experiences, memories, and emotions.

And somehow, this is how olive trees connect us—through the experiences we create around them. They take us on a journey, bring us closer, and remind us that some connections are deeply rooted. 💚

Do you think our cooking class follows a standard plan? Hmm… definitely not! 😂

We cook whatever every house in our village is cooking that day!

And this week, every kitchen in our village smelled of Fanouropita — so, of course, we made one too.

By the way ..This is also the season when we harvest our local currants, they became part of our recipe—and part of the story we shared around the table.

No fixed recipes, no boring routines… just real local life, seasonal ingredients and a little delicious improvisation! 🌿💛

Today we welcomed a family of 17.

Three generations, traveling all the way from Canada to spend time together exploring Greece ..

They shared stories, laughed around the same table, tasted olive oil, and simply enjoyed being together.

Family... isn't just about where you come from. It's about creating memories. Passing traditions from one generation to the next.

We feel grateful every time The Olive Routes family becomes a small part of memories of your family...

Because the greatest journeys are the ones we share.

What can bring 20 women from Androusa together for hours?

A legendary Greek sweet called diples!

Yesterday we made 450(!!!) diples for the upcoming feast. Plenty of laughs, lots of stories, and of course, lots of extra virgin olive oil

Welcome to ESTIA!

It started as an idea, an olive oil tasting, a walk through the olive grove, and a presentation full of pride inside the olive oil mill.

After that came the renovation of our family’s traditional olive oil mill, first established in 1904.

And now, our dreams continue in a new olive home…

ESTIA.

This small miracle could not have happened without the endless support of Stathis❤️, the Olive Routes team

Do.you believe that off season is relaxing??

Well… this is the time that we host our most demanding visitors yet 😄

In the last month, more than 150 young explorers (from 4-year-olds to students!) stepped into the world of olive oil — asking the toughest questions, tasting, learning, and keeping us on our toes.

No tickets, no cost — just giving back, sharing knowledge, and opening our doors to the next generation.

This is our best work… when we’re “not working.” 🌿.
