Greece is once again home to one of the world’s best beaches 🇬🇷🤍
The World’s 50 Best Beaches 2026 ranking, based on votes from more than 1,000 travel experts, named Fteri Beach, on the Greek island of Kefalonia, the second-best beach in the world.
And here’s an even more impressive fact: Fteri Beach was the only European beach to make it into the global Top 10. The next European beach doesn’t appear until No. 12 in the overall ranking.
The list doesn’t evaluate scenic beauty alone. It also considers factors such as environmental preservation, tranquility, water quality, the ability to enjoy the beach without large crowds, and the overall visitor experience.
In total, 11 European beaches earned a place among the world’s top 50, representing countries including Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Türkiye, and Ireland.
Sometimes, the best destinations aren’t the most famous… they’re the ones that still feel like a hidden discovery.
If you could choose one European beach to visit this summer, which one would it be? 💬
