Με πρωτοβουλία της ομάδας και με τη βοήθεια Ελλήνων αλλά και ξένων εθελοντών προσεγγίσαμε τη νήσο Άτοκο αφήνοντας πίσω μια πεντακάθαρη παραλία!

💪Το πρόγραμμα #Προσφέρω

Από τον Μάιο του 2018, μέχρι και σήμερα, έχουν υλοποιηθεί 276 καθαρισμοί, συγκεκριμένα 140 παράκτιοι και 136 υποβρύχιοι κατά τη διάρκεια των οποίων έχουν συλλεχθεί και απομακρυνθεί περισσότεροι από 88 τόνοι απορριμμάτων.

With the initiative of the team and the help of Greek and foreign volunteers, we approached the island of Atokos, leaving behind a pristine beach!

Since May 2018 until today, 276 cleanups have been carried out, specifically 140 coastal and 136 underwater, during which more than 88 tons of waste have been collected and removed.

🛡️Με την αυστηρή προστασία της Φορμίκουλας συντάσσεται και η τοπική κοινότητα με 36 φορείς να υποστηρίζουν το αίτημα και τις προσπάθειές μας για την ουσιαστική προστασία της νήσου και τη διαφύλαξη της αξίας της.

📍Πλέον, η τοπική κοινότητα αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της προσπάθειάς μας, είμαστε ακόμη πιο χαρούμενοι όμως που κι εμείς νοιώθουμε κομμάτι της τοπικής κοινότητας! 🤝

‼️Δεν μπορεί να υπάρξει αποτελεσματική προστασία αν δεν λάβεις υπόψη τις ανάγκες της ίδιας της κοινωνίας, γι’ αυτό, εκτός από τη συλλογή δεδομένων, τα τελευταία 2 χρόνια, μεγάλο μέρος της δουλειάς μας για την προστασία της Φορμίκουλας ήταν και η ανάδειξη της σημασίας της στην τοπική κοινότητα.

🆘Ξεκινώντας από τις πολύτιμες πληροφορίες που οι ντόπιοι μοιράστηκαν μαζί μας υποστηρίζοντας το έργο μας, μαζί τους πλέον διεκδικούμε τη λήψη μέτρων για την προστασία της περιοχής!

🛡️The local community supports our demands for the strict protection of Formicula islet!

🖊️36 local entities cosigned the Letter to the Ministry asking for urgent actions for the actual protection of Formicula.

📍The local community is an integral part of our effort, but we are even happier feeling an integral part of the local community and sharing common conservation goals with it!🤝

‼️There can be no effective conservation if the needs of the society itself are not taken into account, so, in addition to data collection, over the last 2 years, an equally important part of our work for the protection of Formicula was to highlight its importance among the locals.

🆘Starting from their valuable local ecological knowledge that supported our effort, we are now calling together for urgent action for Formicula’s protection!
