Villa Kef This is a villa on the quieter Lixouri side of the island, on the edge of the village of Havdata.

The location is quiet but ideal for several fabulous beaches and tavernas plus the village has good essential facilities. A video tour of Kefalonia can be found here:

Well the Solar panels are doing well. Despite being only partially set up, they're generating about 25% of the power needed at the villa.

Hopefully next year I'll have them tuned up, and that'll go up to over 50%.

I'm here to close the villa down after a busy summer season. The pool is still a very respectable 25c, so a good way to finish every day.
Vine and hedges tamed for another year
Boules pitch installed.
Lower garden tamed (again)
Various plumbing things replaced
Pool getting ready for winter shutdown

Always something to do

Well the 2024 season is now closing down at Villa Kef. We've been lucky to have some wonderful guests who have enjoyed staying at the villa in Havdata. One of the comments I get regularly is about the peace and quiet of the location, but easily within reach of bars and restaurants (15 minutes away) in Lixouri.

Now time for some painting and decorating.
