The region of Leivatho is where my family comes from and while our village, Peratata, isn’t on the sea, the neighboring village of Karavados is home to our favorite beach in the world, Agios Thomas.

One of several internationally acclaimed beaches in Kefalonia… and definitely my favorite.

Από τις λίγες διεθνώς γνωστές παραλίες της Κεφαλονιάς… και σίγουρα η αγαπημένη μου.

While Kefalonia has more than 200 local and hidden beaches, there are only a few that are known around the world — and Antisamos is absolutely one of them.

Ενώ η Κεφαλονιά έχει πάνω από 200 τοπικές και κρυφές παραλίες, υπάρχουν μόνο λίγες που είναι γνωστές σε όλο τον κόσμο — και η Αντίσαμος είναι σίγουρα μία από αυτές.

From the crystal clear water to the green mountains surrounding the bay, this is one of those places that almost doesn’t feel real.

Από τα πεντακάθαρα νερά μέχρι τα καταπράσινα βουνά γύρω από τον κόλπο, είναι από εκείνα τα μέρη που σχεδόν δεν φαίνονται αληθινά.

This teaser shows just a little more of Antisamos from above as I walk along the shoreline of one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Greece.
