Highlights close by - part 3: Cretan Aroma Botanical Garden and Farm.

This one is a little gem, especially for families with smaller children. We really liked the laid back athmosphere here. Enjoy brunch, let your kids roam free around the farm and see the animals - birds, deer, donkeys. Enjoy the colors of the garden and do not forget to take in the views! There also is a beautiful shop with local products.

Highlights close by - part 2: Zoumberakis Winery
Enjoy a tasting of great Cretan wines and likors in Kali Sikia, about 15 mins by car through the beautiful Kotsifu Gorge! Zoumberakis winery is familiy owned and has about 100 hectars of vineyards. Call in advance for a tour and a tasting or stop by and see if Maria or a colleague can tell you all about wines of Crete.

Highlights close by - part 1: Kourtaliotiko Gorge

A 10-15 mins ride away from Villa Vidiano! It is a Instagram favourite so make sure you are there early, or later in the afternoon. Do not forget to bring a had, sunscreen, and water! As of May this year there will be a small entrance fee. The Kourtaliotiko Gorge is part of the Natura 2000 area KOURTALIOTIKO FARANGI - MONI PREVELI - EVRYTERI PERIOCHI, which means it is a place of great ecological importance due to its beauty and biodiversity. Please support in keeping it clean.

A week ago we took the boat to Mamara Beach/Aradena Gorge - Finikas - Loutro. It was a fantastic day. We met great people and the crew of was fantastic. Enjoy the views of the South Coast of Crete!
