Some villages you visit. Agiasos, you get lost in, on purpose. The alleys twist uphill without warning, the stone houses lean in close, and somewhere a door is propped open just enough to smell someone's afternoon cooking. 💛

Nobody puts "waterfall" and "Greek island" in the same sentence and that's exactly the problem. 🤫
This one's hiding in a pocket of green that has no business existing on Lesvos, water cold enough to make you regret every beach day you didn't need.

Το γαστρονομικό φεστιβάλ Taste Lesvos θα μας ταξιδέψει στους Λάμπου Μύλους και στα «Τραχανίσματα», που θα πραγματοποιηθούν στις 20:00 το βράδυ της Πέμπτης 20/8.

Οι εκδηλώσεις του Taste Lesvos συνδιοργανώνονται από τον Δήμο Μυτιλήνης, τις κατά τόπους Κοινότητες και Συλλόγους.

Έχει ως στόχο να αποτελέσει σημείο συνάντησης ανθρώπων, ιδεών και συνεργασιών, γύρω από τη γαστρονομία, με το πάντρεμα της παραδοσιακής κουζίνας με τις σύγχρονες τάσεις, ώστε κάτοικοι και επισκέπτες του νησιού να τη γνωρίσουν αλλά και η νέα γενιά να έρθει πιο κοντά στη γαστρονομική ταυτότητα της Λέσβου.

It starts small. A plate of olives, some cheese, maybe a few sardines. Then someone orders the ouzo, and the table just... grows. More dishes arrive, not because anyone asked, but because that's how it works here. Each small plate carries its own little story and somewhere between the second and third round, the strangers at the next table start to feel a little less like strangers. 🍲🥛

The sun's down, but Mytilene isn't done for the day. 🌙
Just a walk along the water, string lights coming on one by one, the city easing into the kind of evening that has nowhere to be.
This is what a Greek summer night actually feels like once the heat lets go.

Okay but nobody talks about what's actually behind these spots in Lesvos. 🌻
Step past the gate and it's jasmine, bougainvillea climbing the stone, clay pots everywhere and a cat who owns the place.
👌 The best part of a lot of Greek villages isn't the street. It's what's hiding right behind it.
