On Lesvos you don't have to choose. Volcanic terrain in the west, green forests in the center and endless olive groves rolling down to the Aegean.

📍 Tavari, Lesvos. It's one of those spots on Lesvos that nobody really talks about and honestly, we kind of love that.

Small coves tucked along the coast, nothing fancy, no beach bars. Just you, the water and a stretch of coastline that feels like it's still figuring out whether it wants to be discovered. 🤫

If you're the type who'd rather wander than follow a map, this one's for you.

Sykaminia sits up in the hills of northern Lesvos, and the walk down to Skala passes old dry stone terraces the locals built as places to sit and get their breath back on the way home. 🌊

That detail alone tells you how long people have been making this walk.

Then the harbour opens up. Fishing boats, a few tavernas, and the chapel of Panagia i Gorgona out on its rock.
🐟 Order the fish. Stay longer than you meant to.

Today this village fills up with women from all over. 🧡

Skala Eressos on Lesvos has carried the same reputation for decades. Freedom of expression, creativity and a women's community that keeps coming back.

The International Eressos Women's Festival starts today in the birthplace of Sappho and runs to September 19.
