Unpopular mom opinion: Disney isn’t the most magical trip you can take with your kids. 👀

And before the Disney moms come for me… 😂 I LIKE Disney.

But for roughly the same amount of money as a Disney vacation, you could take your kids somewhere that makes them realize just how freaking BIG and incredible this world is.

🌿 Madeira, Portugal: hike along levadas, swim in natural volcanic pools, ride cable cars over the mountains and basically feel like you landed in Jurassic Park.

🏰 Dubrovnik, Croatia: walk ancient city walls, swim in the Adriatic, island hop and let them explore a real-life medieval city. Bonus points if your family loves Game of Thrones.

🐧 Ushuaia, Argentina: go to the END OF THE WORLD. See penguins. Cruise the Beagle Channel. Explore Patagonia. Your kid gets to casually say, “Oh yeah, I’ve been to Tierra del Fuego.” 😂

🗿 Easter Island, Chile: stand in front of the giant Moai they’ve seen in books and actually learn the mystery and history of one of the most isolated inhabited islands on Earth.

🌺 Moorea, French Polynesia: snorkel with tropical fish, explore lagoons, see mountains that look completely fake and give your kids the Moana childhood memory of a lifetime.

Here’s what I’ve realized after traveling with my kid:

Kids don’t need kid destinations.

They need destinations where they can DO cool s**t. 😂

Boats. Animals. Weird foods. Mountains. Castles. Swimming. Trains. Volcanoes. Different languages. Places that make them ask 847 questions.

I don’t want Luca’s childhood memories to only be rides and characters.

I want him to remember standing at the end of the world.
Seeing a Moai with his own eyes.
Swimming in the South Pacific.
Walking through cities older than our country.
And realizing there is SO MUCH out there to see.

Boring vacations are a waste of PTO. And childhood is way too short to save all the good trips for “someday.”

✈️ SAVE this for your family bucket list + SEND it to the mom who needs permission to skip Disney next year. 😂

Which one are you picking: Madeira, Dubrovnik, Ushuaia, Easter Island or Moorea?

One thing I LOVE about my new booking portal, and a big reason I was attracted to it, is the pricing on domestic travel. I think a lot of Americans are staying closer to home right now due to inflation, tension abroad or uncertainty.

It reminds me of that 2021-2023 era where people were traveling more but visiting National Parks and cities around the US.

You don’t need to go to Bora Bora to take advantage of our travel membership!

My friend is planning a babymoon and needed somewhere within driving distance and said they were looking at Sedona. I popped on my app quick and filter by biggest savings first.

Our cheapest rate for this hotel was $1264. I’d get an extra savings of $172 because I did a one time add on called Turbo for extra savings. I’d also earn 1383 travel credits on this booking which is equal to $13.83 I can apply to my next booking.

So we get the member pricing…
➡️then apply loyalty points…
➡️➡️ then apply turbo discount…
➡️➡️➡️then apply any travel credits accrued from my previous booking…
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
and pay whatever amount is left over.

Going straight to bookingcom, like everyone else, would’ve cost me $2,275.

This is NOT commission. I am NOT a travel agent. This is savings straight off the top at the time of booking. We cannot book for others which is why she’s becoming a member right now because the savings are slapping her in the face! $1,011 difference that only took me 2 mins to look up because everything is all in one place… on an app!!

If you are someone who books your personal travel on bookingcom, Expedia, or the hotel directly because you think you’re getting the best price… we need to talk!!

I’m so thankful for the friendships I have in adulthood. Everyone in my circle is building a life I admire.

They’re not afraid to work hard. They’re not afraid of judgment or criticism because what they’re building is options for their families. They’re not afraid of big goals.

If that sounds like the type of circle you’re looking for, you’ll always have a seat at our table.

POV: you find out you’ve been paying WHAT for hotels this whole time 👀💀

Apparently I’ve entered my “I refuse to pay full price for vacations” era.

Because boring vacations are a waste of PTO…
and overpaying for them is just offensive. 😂

I’ve been comparing the member-only pricing on my new travel platform to the places I’d normally book and SOME of these differences have me looking exactly like this dog. 😳

If you travel even a couple times a year, you’re gonna want to see this.

And then come back and tell me the math ain’t mathing. 👀✈️

I don’t believe we get one shot at deciding what our life is going to look like.

Thank God, because 22-year-old Jane did NOT have enough information to be making decisions for 40-year-old Jane. 😂

I’ve been the teacher.

The broke nanny living in Germany.

The network marketer.

The mom building a business.

The woman rebuilding after one of the hardest seasons of her life.

The world traveler.

And now the American mom walking around Ireland picking out new tiles for our home.

None of those versions had to be permanent.

Neither does yours.

What version of YOU do you think might be coming next?

Same parenting. Better scenery. 😂🌍

Because if I’m going to hear “MOMMMMM” 47 times before lunch, I’d personally prefer to hear it somewhere with a view.

I’ve built my life around one very important belief:

Boring vacations are a waste of PTO.

And has made it even easier for us to say yes to more trips, more experiences, and more “how is this our actual life?” moments.

Croatia > my living room.
I said what I said. 😂

There’s nothing quite like the first sips of hose water that comes out hot.

Just collecting evidence for his future therapist. 💀

I’m sure the cruise was deeply traumatic. Thoughts and prayers. 😂
