Just a quick bit of information: Starting 3rd May, Jet2.com will be flying to Kalamata from Stansted and Manchester. This is NEW for 2020! It is in addition to easyJet from Gatwick and Manchester, BA from Heathrow and Ryanair from Stansted. So, lots of choice now on how to get to this magical part of the world!!

Thanks to everyone who has booked or re-booked for their holidays here this season. I will be delighted to welcome you.
If anyone is interested, due to some people changing their dates, I now have some availability in early May in two of the villas. May is one of my favourite months here, the light is clear and magic and there are spring flowers everywhere. It is very beautiful.

Six weeks into the new season and things are going very well at Fig Leaf Villas. The pool is warm but still refreshing, the beer is cool and equally refreshing! The guests are enjoying the new furniture and changes in the bar area and the new extended massage service. We have enjoyed petanque parties, meze meals and curry nights together, and the night crickets chirrup away when we're chatting in the bar area in the evenings.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!! to all my guests, past, present and future. I would like to extend a warm 'thank you' to all of you who have already visited Fig Leaf Villas and have shared your warmth and friendliness with me, you really make my job fulfilling and worthwhile!! I'm looking forward to seeing many of you again next season and welcoming newcomers here to this little bit of Paradise in Southern Greece!!

Hooray!! One of my favourite moments of the year has arrived!! It rained and was quite cool a couple of days ago and yesterday morning when I stepped outside to have my breakfast in the sunshine on the veranda I looked at the mountains and WOW!!!! this is what I saw, it never ceases to take my breath away!!

Autumn has arrived here at Fig Leaf Villas, with gorgeous warm days, this week we had temperatures up to 30C!! But generally it's about 23 in the daytime which makes it really great for getting out and about. It's still warm enough to swim and lie on the beach, but not so hot that a walk around Gialova lagoon is daunting!!
I had a wonderful season of exceptionally lovely guests, warm and supportive of my efforts. I would like to thank all of you for your company and your kindness.
Since the season closed on the 8th October I have been blessed with visits from family and close friends and have been out and about enjoying this amazing and beautiful part of the world. Visits have included Polylimneo Waterfalls, Methoni Castle, Gialova lagoon with its flamingoes, egrets and kingfishers, and a wonderful drive up into the mountains where we encountered fabulous autumn colours and stunning scenery. We stopped at a little cafe in a small village in the hills and the lady of the house brought us a small square of the most delicious walnut and apple cake baked by herself, and given to us from her heart! Special memories!!
