It is with great pleasure that we announce that our General Manager of PMS S.A. and General Secretary of the Chios Marine Club, Mrs. Maria Tripolitis, participated in the Club’s Vasilopita Cutting event, which took place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Athens Marriott Hotel, hosted its event with a remarkable turnout of members and friends.
During this prestigious event, the Club honored the following distinguished individuals, who, through their professional and business achievements, bring great honor to Greece and, in particular, their homeland, Chios:
-Captain A' Merchant Navy, Deputy Regional Governor of Shipping, Ports & Coastal Connections (North Aegean), Capt. Georgios Arvanitis, awarded by Capt. Manolis Tsikalakis, General Secretary of the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO), and Capt. Panagiotis Gygis, President of the Panhellenic Union of Merchant Marine Captains (PEPEN).
-Marathon runner Christoforos Merousis, awarded by Mr. Stamatios Krimigis, President of the Academy of Athens and NASA Astrophysicist.
-Olympic water polo athletes of the NO Chios team: Ioannis Fountoulis, Konstantinos Giouvetzis, and Angeliki Karapataki, awarded by former Minister Ms. Domna Michailidou, Ms. Mariella Varoni, and Mr. Dimitrios Skapinakis.
Additionally, an honorary plaque was presented to the sponsoring companies that generously contributed to the renovation of the Club’s new premises, "Nea Stegi," in recognition of their unwavering support. Our CEO, Mr. Markos Tripolitis, as one of the founding members and a former President of the Club, had the honor of nominating the Silver Sponsors of the "Nea Stegi" Project. Furthermore, Mrs. Maria Tripolitis nominated three Bronze Sponsor companies.
We are also proud to announce that our company, Piraeus Marine Services S.A., was nominated by Mr. Nikos Kakalis, Special Secretary of the Club, in recognition of our contribution to the "Nea Stegi" project as Bronze Sponsors.
