Behind Plakias Boat Tours, there are always people who quietly shape the experience long before you step on board.
In our office in the heart of Plakias you will usually meet Francis, our office manager. She is the one answering your messages, handling bookings and making sure every detail is clear and well organised, online and in person. With many years of experience in tourism and hospitality in Crete, she knows the island, the boats and the experiences inside out, and she is always there to help you find the right option for your perfect day at sea.
Right next door, you will find Lisa, co-founder of Plakias Boat Tours together with Captain Tasos. Born in Belgium, she first came to Plakias as a young traveller, where a simple boat trip to Preveli changed the course of her life. She made Crete her home, and together with Tasos built not only a family, but also a business that grew step by step by the sea.
Over the years, Lisa shaped the identity and daily life of the company and today she runs The Lagoon — a small island lifestyle store filled with handmade jewelry, beach-inspired pieces and carefully curated items — as well as the beachfront suites located right next to the office
Two women, two roles, one place: Plakias — and a shared way of welcoming people to the south of Crete. 🌿
