The experience of living in Greece in the summer and especially in Crete and the beautiful village of Platanias will become even more enjoyably delicious at the unique family restaurant belonging to the family Nikos, Antonia and Kostas Almiras.
Up until 1999 the Almiras tavern building used to have rooms for rent. Our love for of Cretan cuisine based on Cretan olive oil and natural ingredients of our own production led to the creation of the tavern in 1999 which was later on fully renovated in 2009.
Traditional Cretan cuisine, international dishes selected by us, local meats, the appetizers, homemade wine, but most of all the magnificent views especially at sunset, looking out at the Cretan sea, all make up one of the most famous restaurants in Platanias with its own clientele constantly growing.
Our homemade food will amaze you. We serve the finest Cretan meals, cooked with extra virgin olive oil from our own production and the freshest ingredients of our country.
