Sophia in the Sun is on a mountain full of thyme, sage and its own vineyard. It shares 4000 sq.m. property with its sister Marie in Blue. All bedrooms open onto a patio and have a sea view. Each has its own en suite bathroom. The Sitting room and kitchen open onto a large terrace where one can enjoy stunning sunsets over the Aegean Sea. There are also two outdoor showers if one wishes to wash off

the salt and sand or just cool off outside. The central A/C is extremely effective so one will never suffer if the weather gets too hot. A private road leads you to both homes. There is plenty of room for parking outside and many sitting areas, i.e. bedroom patio, the very spacious terrace on the upper level and an area near the entrance. The owner is available and usually on the property to welcome her guests. She is also available on her cell phone at all times during your stay.

This rocky islet that looks like a shark’s fin is home for hundreds of seagulls and other birds. It’s Greek name is στρογγυλό [strongyló], that means “round” which it is not even if you look at it from above. So does anyone know how it got this name?
