Well… it’s been a while.
The last time we posted here was few years ago.
Back then, Sailandia was our boat, our home, our little business — and a very large part of our life.
Since then, quite a lot has happened.
We lost Mir, our beloved sailor dog.
We stopped running sailing holidays.
After years of living aboard, we moved ashore.
And somehow, somewhere along the way, we acquired two cats.
Tanya went back to her original profession as a psychologist — which means Sailandia now has its own resident shrink, appropriately known on Instagram as .
Life changed. A lot.
For a while, Sailandia simply went quiet.
But one thing never really went away: boats.
The sailing, the fixing, the endless discussions about engines, electrics and things that really shouldn't be making that noise. Friends asking Paul what he thinks about a boat they're considering buying. People asking how this works, what that costs, what to look for, what to
avoid — and whether living on a boat is actually anything like the dream they have in their heads.
Apparently, you can move off a boat, but getting the boats out of your life is considerably more difficult.
So, after four years, we're opening this door again.
Sailandia is going to be a little different this time.
We'll tell you more about that soon.
