As 2024 winds down, we can’t help but smile looking back on Sophellie’s very first year. 

From the day we opened our doors, this little port house has become so much more than we imagined—a place where stories are shared and connections are made as the beauty of the island brings people together.

This year has been full of firsts and unforgettable moments—sunny mornings that set the tone for the day and evenings filled with laughter and warmth. None of it would have been possible without you. Your support and love have made our first year truly magical.

As we step into 2025, we’re feeling incredibly grateful and excited for what’s ahead. Sophellie's place will continue to be your cozy portside escape, and we can’t wait to share even more special moments with you.

This day symbolizes bravery, unity, and heroism for Greeks worldwide.

About tomorrow, Sunday the 7th of July 🙏

Each year on the first Sunday in July, Skiathos island honors the discovery of the sacred icon of the Virgin Mary, known as Eikonistria.

If you’re fortunate enough to be on Skiathos during this time, immerse yourself in the local customs by visiting the Cathedral Church of Tris Ierarches in Skiathos town. Following the morning service, usually around 10 AM, both locals and tourists join in the procession of Panagia Eikonistria, moving through the charming narrow streets while offering prayers.
