Golden light, wild thyme and the soft hum of our bees. 🐝✨

Beekeeping on our little corner of Santorini is not a business plan. It’s a love story.

Two years ago, we placed our first hives on our land. No big expectations - just curiosity, respect and the desire to learn. Since then, the bees have been teaching us about patience and rhythm.

They travel from thyme to wildflowers, from almond blossom to our organic garden, pollinating life into everything they touch. We help them by simply allowing them to be bees and do what they are naturally so good at. We only taste the honey they can truly spare - never more.

For us, beekeeping is part of a bigger picture: living slower, caring for the land and protecting what is fragile and essential.

If you listen closely, you can hear it. Deep down, we all know what is right for nature. Let’s work on it — all of us, together.

What a year it has been! ✨

Even though it began with the island shaking from thousands of earthquakes, we decided to simply dance along with it — and that dance brought the most beautiful energy our way.

We welcomed more families and children than ever before, met so many wonderful new people, and felt the Vima magic grow stronger with every stay. Our story was shared in the Dutch and German editions of Happinez (and the French one is on its way!), we had amazing volunteers helping us sow vegetables on the land, we crafted our very first beeswax skincare… and pssst, we’re even distilling our first alcohol — more on that soon!

Our hearts are full. We’re grateful for everything we can create, grow and share with you. Thank you for being part of Vima — for your kindness, your curiosity, your smiles, and the feeling of home you bring to our little village.

As the island settles into its peaceful winter rhythm, we’re doing the same: slowing down, spending time together, and dreaming up new plans for another beautiful year ahead.

Tucked into every house, there’s a little book. Not a guidebook. Not a to-do list. But a space for something more personal.

Words left behind by those who stayed. Stories of lazy mornings, candlelit dinners and secret beaches.

Some draw pictures. Some write poems. Others leave tips: the taverna with no menu and the best grilled fish, or the old man in the village who sells lemons from his garden.

It’s not just a book. It’s a shared memory. And if you look closely, you’ll find the island’s soul between the pages.
