City Motorcycle Tour
Explore the architecture, roman and byzantine history, the modern yacht marina and a perfect panoramic view of a modern European city on this mini van tour of Thessaloniki. We will end our journey in the Ladadika area, with fully restored pubs and tavernas, an area that was the old port during the medieval era, important for the oil and coal trade.
Thessaloniki was the second largest commercial center of the byzantine empire after
Constantinople. During the Ottoman era the city was the biggest commercial center of the Balkan region along with the coming of the jewish community that came in the late 15th century. Signs of the glorious past are still preserved in this fascinating city.
The Thessaloniki city tour adventure will start from the famous Aristotelous Square an
outstanding piece of architecture of the 1920's. Along side by the sea we will visit the Museum of the Macedonian Battle for freedom. Then the unique landmark the White tower, the Royal theater, the modern Music Opera Hall.
Then we will drive along sea side and reach the summer resort Palace of the ex-king of Greece Konstantinos and then the modern yacht marina at Aretsou beach. Optional if kids participate we visit the Fun Fair of Magic Park.
Again back into the city center and we will admire the Archaelogical and the Byzantine
Museum, the International Trade Fair. Then we will enjoy the roman arc of Galerius, the Rotonda monument and byzantine church of Saint Sofia.
Prepare yourselves to enjoy the Turkish baths of Giahoudi Hamam that function back to the 12th century and give a flower to your beloved in Louloudadika area. Then visit with me the
Hamza Bey Mosque and the new under construction Metro Station of Venizelou. Then we will pass through the Court Square, the Roman Forum and the byzantine basilica of Saint Dimitrios the second largest in the Balcans.
We make a stop at the Turkish embassy building which was the birthhouse of first Turkish President Kemal Ataturk. Then we enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the Old Castle and admire the architecture of the old thessaloniki city throught its narrow unknown streets.
We descent again to the sea and visit The Freedom Square where the Jewish population suffered humiliation and extincted during N**i occupation in 1943.
Our exploration will end in Ladadika, the most vivid part of the city with the best cafes, restaurants and bars. Contact me for exact preferable time and date before booking.
