Γαλάζιες σημαίες θα ανεμίζουν και το φετινό Καλοκαίρι σε Μάταλα, Κόκκινο Πύργο, Καλούς Λιμένες Δήμου Φαιστού, στο νότο του Νομού Ηρακλείου και σε Αγία Γαλήνη (Ύστερο Βαρκοτόπι), Άγιο Παύλο, Πλακιά, Ροδάκινο Δήμου Αγίου Βασιλείου, στο νότο του Νομού Ρεθύμνου, ως επιβράβευση της καθαρότητας των νερών τους και της οργάνωσης των ακτών τους.

Με 623 βραβευμένες ακτές, η Ελλάδα διατηρεί τη δεύτερη θέση παγκοσμίως στο πρόγραμμα “Γαλάζια Σημαία”, όπως ανακοίνωσε η Ελληνική Εταιρία Προστασίας της Φύσης (ΕΕΠΦ), Εθνικός Χειριστής του προγράμματος στη χώρα μας. Η ανακοίνωση των βραβεύσεων για το 2025 έγινε σε ειδική εκδήλωση στο Glyfada Golf Gardens, παρουσία δεκάδων εκπροσώπων της Πολιτείας και του τουριστικού κλάδου.

Η Κρήτη διατηρεί την πρωτιά ανάμεσα στις Περιφέρειες της χώρας μας με 153 βραβεύσεις.
