Το Melitzazz 2026 μας καλεί να αναζητήσουμε τις θέσεις μας στις πολλαπλές μορφές συλλογικότητας που αναδύονται μέσα από την καθημερινότητα, στις πολιτιστικές πρακτικές, εμπειρίες και αφηγήσεις. Το φετινό φεστιβάλ διερευνά πώς οι κοινότητες συγκροτούνται, πώς μετασχηματίζονται και πώς διατηρούν τη συνοχή τους σε έναν κόσμο διαρκούς κινητικότητας, δικτύωσης και αλλαγής.

Συναυλίες, Εκθέσεις, Προβολές και Εργαστήρια θα συνθέσουν το φετινό, πλούσιο μωσαϊκό δράσεων- ενώ, για άλλη μια χρονιά, μέρος του προγράμματος θα είναι αφιερωμένο στους μικρούς μας φίλους.

Yesterday in Tyros, Arcadia, time seemed to stand still.

Along the seafront of Tyros, thousands gathered in silence and reverence for the sacred procession of the Epitaphios. The air was filled with candlelight, the scent of flowers, and the quiet unity of faith. As the epitaphioi from different churches met by the sea, the entire coastline became a living prayer.

This unique tradition, where the procession unfolds beside the water and is accompanied by boats, reflects the deep connection of the community with the sea and its history. The crowd stretched across the waterfront—locals, visitors, families—all walking together, carrying light in the darkness.

The hymns we heard, like the one in this video, come from the Epitaphios Thrinos—the Lamentations of Holy Friday. These centuries-old chants are among the most emotional in Orthodox tradition, expressing grief, love, and hope as they commemorate Christ’s burial.

A night of mourning… and at the same time, a quiet promise of resurrection.
