Ο «αμπαταρός ή αποκρέβατος» (πατάρι-παταρός) ήταν ο χώρος που βρισκόταν κάτω από το νυφικό κρεβάτι και χρησίμευε ως αποθήκη για τρόφιμα και μαγειρικά σκεύη. Κάθε χειμώνα ο αμπαταρός ήταν γεμάτος, από τις σοδειές του καλοκαιριού. Εκεί φυλάσσονταν σε πήλινα δοχεία το λάδι, το κρασί, το ξύδι, οι ελιές, τα ρεβύθια κ.α. Από την οροφή του κρέμονταν αποξηραμένα τα κληματόφυλλα, τα σκόρδα, οι πιπεριές και τόσα αλλά προϊόντα της Αρχαγγελίτικης γης.
