Two Sisters Villas, Lesvos

Every year on the 15th of August the Orthodox Church celebrates the Virgin Mary, where thousands of pilgrims make use of the numerous shrines dedicated to "Her Grace".

It is sometimes referred to as “Panagia” and even “Thekapendeavgousto”, which translated means “August 15th”. On this day, the “falling asleep” (death) of the Virgin Mary is commemorated by all who believe.

Happy Nameday to all who celebrate.

It’s was a beautiful day celebrating with (some of) my loved ones. Thank you to the AMAZING staff at for always serving incredibly delicious meals! There is nothing like sitting under the 100+yr old plane tree 🌳 my great-great-grandfather planted!
