Venice left this town a nickname in 1797 and never came back for it. 💙

Summer's doing the same thing right now. Packing up. Leaving something behind that doesn't need it to stay.
A writer named Xenopoulos put the name on a book in 1914. An earthquake rearranged the whole town in '53.

Neither one changed what people call it.
Some places don't need the season to still be the reason.

Things Porto Limnionas does not have: sand, tidy rows of sunbeds, a queue for the good rock in September.

Things it does have: deep green water, ledges that were clearly designed for sitting on and one swim you will still be bringing up at dinner three days later. 🌊
