r house. You can make pleasant walks to the mountain and if you have endurance to reach up to the top. You will see quite olive trees, pines, flowers and various shrubs. Also the view from the mountain is breathtaking. We and our beloved dog Max walk down the mountain every Sunday. If you wish you can follow us. 4 km away is the famous bay of Laganas where is the National Marine Park of Zakynthos. It was established in 1999 and includes the bay of Laganas, the former municipality Almighty on the south coast of Zakynthos in the Ionian Sea. The area is part of the network of protected areas Natura 2000. The Marine Park is the first park of this kind to be established in Greece and the Mediterranean to protect sea turtle Caretta karetta. The protected area comprises the marine area and the Gulf islands Lagana, the nesting beaches of sea turtles, and a coastal zone that surrounds them, the wetland of Keri, Marathonisi and the Strofades Islands, located about fifty kilometers south of ecosystem is a nesting area for sea turtles, and It includes dune systems, underwater seagrass meadows (Posidonia oceanica) and coastal ecosystems.
