Yesterday, Pamplona's perfect Sunday sky was blessed with pleasant temperatures and a bright, shining sun. We set out for a serene walk along the scenic Arga River. The highlight of our day? A delightful encounter with a vibrant Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis). This tiny, colorful bird dazzled us as it darted along the river's horizon, only to return to its favorite perch.

American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber)

We recently explored the Reserva de la Biosfera Ría Celestún, a remarkable 146,000-acre coastal wetland on Mexico’s Gulf Coast. This unique ecosystem blends saltwater from the Gulf of Mexico with freshwater from the estuary, supporting an extraordinary variety of bird species.

One of the highlights was observing the striking American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) and other vibrant bird species—some endemic, others migratory. The reserve’s serene landscapes and dynamic wildlife make it an invaluable sanctuary for nature enthusiasts and researchers.
