Stabroek Solutions is owned and managed by the company’s Co-Founders: Ms Sheffield Douglas and Ms Urica Primus. Ms Douglas has a proven track record of entrepreneurial development, with thirteen years of experience in real estate and mining. Apart from the management of Stabroek Solutions and Thunder Mining Company, Ms Douglas conducts honorary work to provide support to vulnerable groups through a range of efforts: Deputy Co-Coordinator of the Social Services Committee and First Responder and Volunteer Counselor for the Guyana Women Miners Org, member of the Spotlight Initiative National Reference Group, a member of the Bureau of Standards Technical Committee on Mine Standards, Vital Voices - Global Freedom Exchange alumni (2018), as well as, a founding member of the Anti-Slavery Collective - for Generation Equality Process. Ms Douglas is motivated by women empowering and protecting each other.
Ms Primus is an experienced coordinator with a background in philanthropy, entrepreneurial mentorship and mining. From the year 2015, Ms Primus has been a United Nations Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC) alumni. She subsequently joined the Women Leaders for the World alumni in 2019. Ms Primus twice served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission in the years 2016 and 2019. Ms Primus has written and developed several successful national projects as the President of the Guyana Women Miners Org, including Fostering Inclusivity and Sustainability through Education and Technology, Dawn Will Come and Retooling for Survival; just to name a few. Ms Primus has worked extensively on the critical areas of Guyana’s development.
