Yarn making: so the first step is of course picking the cotton from the tree. It grows in small balls as seen in the pic. Before you can spin it using the spindle shown (this is hand made as well) you must remove the seed. It is then placed on the spindle and spun until it becomes the ball of yarn shown in the pic. I will upload a video later showing how this is done..

Next I will show you how the yarn is then knitted to make cotton products that is 100% cotton and 100% handmade.

Have you ever seen cotton being spun into yarn? Better yet, have you ever attempted it? Or would you want to? This is me attempting to spin a piece of cotton on our recent trip to Lethem. I will be posting a few pics this week about this process and taking you through the amazing transformation of the pieces of cotton you see in the calabash on the table being transformed into amazing value added products.

Found the cutest Restaurant and bar on the ECD at Golden Grove Public Road. It's a really great environment, it looks really classy. They have outdoor and indoor seating. So if you're on the East Coast, stop for a visit. It's called Golden Touch Deluxe Hotel, Restaurant and bar and is only in operation for about 2 months. It's located just after the market on the right hand side of the road if you're coming from Georgetown.
