🐘✨ Six days. One mountain sanctuary. A community of women changemakers.

This December, Girls Be Change is heading to Chai Lai Orchid Chai Lai Orchid -Chiang Mai — a mountain eco-resort in the hills of Chiang Mai, Thailand — for a Women’s Healing & Changemaking Retreat unlike anything else. ⛰️🧘‍♀️

We’re co-hosting alongside DaughtersRising , an NGO empowering at-risk girls and women against trafficking and exploitation, and McKendra Energies , bringing energy healing and self-care to the week.

Day 1 (12/15) — Arrive & Belong
 The moment you step into Chai Lai Orchid, something shifts. 🌿 Meet your cohosts, settle into your bamboo bungalow, and let the rescued elephants welcome you in for Elephant Hour. This is where the reset begins.

Day 2 (12/16) — One with Nature
 Trek beside rescued elephants through the jungle with local guides who know these mountains best. 🐘 Then ground yourself with morning and evening wellness — yoga, breathwork, energy healing — because reconnecting with nature starts with reconnecting with yourself.

Day 3 (12/17) — Find Your Voice
 Today, you lead. In our Impact Capacity Building workshop, we’ll exchange stories and empower each other with tools in personal development. Then we cook alongside the Karen community — because the best conversations happen over a shared meal. 🍲

Day 4 (12/18) — Give & Receive
 Spend the morning teaching local girls at Kids House — a reminder that empowerment moves in both directions. Then let the river carry you on a bamboo rafting adventure down the mountain. 🚣‍♀️

Day 5 (12/19) — Sacred & Still
 A secret temple. A hidden waterfall. Traditional bamboo cooking with the Karen community. Discover the secret and sacred places in the mountains — and in yourself. ✨

Day 6 (12/20) — Carry It Home
 One last reflective wellness hour. A group photoshoot with the elephants who welcomed you in. And a sisterhood you‘re taking home with you — this isn’t goodbye, it‘s see you soon. 💛

“Womentrepreneur” can sound like a buzzword — glossy panels, glamorous branding. This gathering goes underneath that, into the real deal: the struggles, the vulnerabilities, and the moments that made it worth it. This time, our theme is 𝓫𝓻𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂 — let’s exchange our stories of bravery. 🤍

Meet our cohosts: Alvita , who built Nasi Goreng Bahagia Jimbaran from the ground up with her mom and brother — an unlikely trio turning family, resilience, and good food into a business. And Sukma , founder of Bali Prime and Mutiara Chic , who built both while raising three kids and juggling up to four jobs at once — proof that reinvention is powerful, even against the odds.

🌊 Malta, this was just the beginning.

Last Saturday, we gathered at Wellnest for Girls Be Change’s first-ever Malta gathering — Gathering #28 in our global journey. 🇲🇹

We sat in a trust circle and shared our stories of change. Then, in a more intimate one-on-one setting, we went deeper — sharing our stories of failing forward. The moments that didn’t go as planned, and what they taught us anyway. 🌱

Women came in with intention — to connect, to be inspired, to stay curious. 💫 And many left having taken the time to truly listen to themselves, having found the women’s group they were searching for, and feeling reassured of the power that already lives within them. 🤍

This is exactly why we do this. Not panels. Not presentations. Just women showing up as they are, and leaving a little more connected to themselves and each other. ✨

🙏 Thank you to Petra Petra Tamas of Wellnest for hosting us so beautifully on the day, and to Janina of People & Friends for all the planning and connecting ahead of the event — and to every woman who showed up with an open heart.

One place in Bali I keep finding myself drawn back to: Mana 🌿🛖🌴

To be more accurate — it’s less about the place itself (though the space is beautifully intentional and sustainably designed) and more about the people. The community. That’s where the real magic lives. ✨

I first visited in March 2025 to meet local changemakers, and something about it just kept pulling me back. In February 2026, hosted a Women Changemakers Gathering and our first Impact Coworking session, with of and . The energy in that garden — the collaboration, the synergy — was unlike anything I’d experienced. After that, Mana quietly became our unofficial impact cowork hub every Wednesday. 👩‍💻

Just before I left Bali, I joined their Heroes Night and got to reunite with Trang .nguyen90 — one of Earth Company’s Impact Heroes and founder/conservationist of WildAct. That’s Mana in a nutshell: a place where the unsung (and sung) heroes find each other. 🦸‍♀️🦸🦸‍♂️

While I’m not back in Bali just yet, I want to pass the invitation to you 🤍

6kg of trash. ~200 pieces. 3.6km. One trail. ⛰️

Yesterday, the Women Changemakers community showed up — sweaty, determined, and full of heart — for our Hike & Trail Cleanup along the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail in Hong Kong. Despite the heat, we moved, we picked, we reflected.

Here’s what I took away from the trail:
🌏 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹. 200 tiny pieces of trash tell a big story about consumption habits we rarely think twice about.

🤝 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. Massive love to Devana .ng of .company for leading the cleanup, and Cindy of .is for nourishing us with LECKA vegan snacks . And to every woman who showed up — the conversations on that trail were as nourishing as the hike itself. 🫶

🌿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆. 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆. Walking that trail was a reminder that our planet constantly holds us — and it’s asking us to be more conscious about what we leave behind.

This is what the Women Changemakers community is about: Not just connection, but action. Not just inspiration, but showing up.

Thank you to every single woman who joined us yesterday. You are the change. 🫶
