We couldn't help but notice that our beloved Hong Kong appeared in the latest episode of the BBC Apprentice.
We’ve put together a new blog all about the Hong Kong shopping task and how, with a bit of local know‑how, the teams could have tackled it very differently.
If you’re curious how the challenge might have looked with a Hong Kong guide in charge, have a read and let me know what you think!

Huge thank you to our lovely local Liz, who has booked tours with us four times to show her friends and family the best of Hong Kong 🫶🏻 Yesterday’s adventure took us through the city’s earliest settlements — where trends meet traditions —ending with those breathtaking Victoria Peak views.
We’re so grateful for our wonderful repeat guests and the word‑of‑mouth love that keeps us going! 💛🌆

I wanted to share this video from the recent Tin Hau Festival tour curated by the amazing Angel from Explorehongkong. She is one of the most dedicated tour guides and content creators out there, often sacrificing sleep to ensure her trips are both enjoyable and informative. When it comes to "hidden gems," she knows them all—and is one herself! Angel began this journey 10 years ago while training in the Tourist Guide Course in 2015 (with me!). I feel fortunate to call her a close friend, and I'm incredibly grateful that she partners with Hong Kong Greeters to offer her enchanting group tours. Alright, that's enough love for now!

Lots of people have been wondering about the beautiful lanterns creating a colourful entrance to the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island… here is why…

These special lanterns are adorned with visitors’ handwritten prayers and wishes. Initially they were here for a special New Year’s blessing on 31st December 2024 by the monks until 29th February 2025. But seems they have extended their validity!

If you would like one head to the onsite office (HK $388 per lantern, cash or electronic payments only!)
