Elias provided what we needed – a private, clean air conditioned car to take us around the island. We didn’t plan to do much when our cruise arrived in Roatan. We found it intimidating and stressful at the Port being approached by many vendors yelling to get our attention to sell us transportation and tours. However, there wasn’t much around the port area so after lunch we found Go Roatan online and contacted Elias in hopes he may be able to accommodate us.
He responded promptly talked on Whatsapp to find out he was available and negotiated a fair price. We were in his car 20 minutes later! He sent clear instructions where to find him and showed up to his word. For the next couple hours, he showed us around the island, telling us about the history, how things work (e.g. schooling, how to buy and ship cars to the island etc.), and in addition to some of the touristy stuff, took us to local neighbourhoods to see how the locals live. He even told us about his beautiful family and chatted about island life. He dropped us back at the port with plenty of time to spare before our ship departed.
Elias provided us the comfort and easy going attitude to put us at ease so we could enjoy our excursion. Highly recommend his services (probably better to book him in advance!). See you next time Elias!
