Their stories are beautiful, complex tales of success and struggle–of hardship and perseverance. The life of many coffee farmers today is a difficult one, often lacking everyday amenities we take for granted including clean drinking wa

ter, adequate food, and even electricity. Year after year, despite hopes for higher prices and better returns on their hard work, things are not changing quickly enough. WHY “LEVANTA?”

At Levanta, we believe that sharing farmers’ stories is crucial to sparking change in the coffee industry. The Spanish word Levanta means wake up — but also rise up. True to our name, we are committed to providing a better income for struggling coffee farmers while bringing you better coffee.

Milton is a farmer we've partnered with in Honduras to supply coffee directly to D&D Brewery, Lodge, and Restaurant. He lives less than 10 miles away up on Santa Barbara Mountain. The plot of land he's growing coffee on is currently too small for us to be able to export his coffee, so he's a perfect match for D&D, the lodge where you'll stay in Honduras!
