Yesterday’s trash pick up
during our morning walk was water bottles.
This is why so many places encourage reusable/fillable water bottles.
These bottles and caps can hurt sea life and litter the beautiful sea & beaches.

Most unique, teeny tiniest and biggest!
We found, collected and disposed of 37 shoes, washed up during hurricane Lisa, from just one little section of beach.
What can we learn from this beach walk experience? 🤔...wooden wedge shoes aren't really practical here, but the wood holds up surprisingly well compared to the straps? ..big or little, blue is a popular color? ..crocks inventors must by now be uber rich because the shoes are popular world wide? ..jibitz (crock decoration add on pieces) really do stay put well-even through a hurricane and wash up? ..or how about, if this many odd shoes can wash up on one little part of the beach, perhaps we just prefer being bare foot after all, since apparently this many people took their shoes off, never to find them again. 🤣

Awww…what poor baby is missing this cutie patootie little shoe?!?
The tropical storm (hurricane Lisa for some places) when we were here 2 weeks ago, washed up a ton of trash..,one thing that baffles my mind is the amount of shoes!!! From the ocean!!! Washed up during the storm! This trash was NOT here before the storm.

GUESS…how many shoes did we count on our walk this morning?! 🩴👟🥿🩴

Tomorrow we’ll be bringing a bag and picking up trash along the way.
