We chose this house for Salty Breeze Bungalows because the second you step through the front door, the breeze from the screened porch greets you, and the whole place just feels like home for the family.

Not a showpiece or a museum where you’re afraid to touch anything. A real, lived-in island house with an authentic Roatan feel: spacious and cozy, with wooden floors underfoot and air moving through. Outside, three porch levels give everyone a place to settle in: kids explore one level while parents relax on another, and the pool is perfect for afternoon swims and floating. In the evenings, gather on the screened porch: pour a drink, chat with family while someone fires up the grill, then sit down together at the large table for dinner surrounded by the tropical greens and birdsong.

Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, it’s an easy escape from the tourist chaos—plenty of space for kids to play and adults to unwind. And because it’s a private house, no one's stomping above you like in a hotel just peace, space, and the sound of the island.
