Birder's Haven is located on the shores of Lake Yojoa and offers both the serious birder and the casual bird watcher an opportunity to see a rich variety of wild life. Walking trails into the lake esturary, and the adjoining pine forest offer an easily assesible way to see a wide variety of birds, an occasional otter and perhaps a wild armidillo. Our boat tours offer the opportunity to cruise around the lake where many ducks, kites and even Osprey can be observed. Our cloud forest tours take you to the home of Kitsals, and a natural collection of orchids.

From October to May migrants can be seen in numbers, in June a woodpeckers babies can be observed learning to fly. We offer year around opportunities to see birds.
