🌿✨ Cloud Forest Gems at La Tigra ✨🌿
During our latest tour at La Tigra National Park, we had the privilege of observing two remarkable species that truly represent the beauty and fragility of these ecosystems:
💜 Wine-throated Hummingbird (Selasphorus ellioti)
🤎 Rufous-browed Wren (Troglodytes rufociliatus)
Both species are closely tied to cloud forests, unique environments shaped by constant mist, high humidity, and extraordinary biodiversity. 🌫️🌱
What makes them even more special is that many cloud forest species have a very restricted distribution range, making them highly sensitive to habitat loss and climate change.
Seeing them in their natural habitat is not only a privilege, but also a reminder of the importance of protecting these ecosystems, which serve as true refuges of life.
📍 La Tigra remains one of the best birding destinations in Honduras to experience the magic of the cloud forest.
🦜 At Go Bird Honduras, we continue promoting birdwatching as a powerful tool for conservation.
💜 Wine-throated Hummingbird (Selasphorus ellioti)
🤎 Rufous-browed Wren (Troglodytes rufociliatus)
