Last week, our free Cavtat tour got a special delivery — a full van of amazing people!

Organized by the , yesterday we kicked off the free guided tours of Cavtat, which will take place every Friday at 9:30 AM until the end of August. The turnout and the interest shown in Cavtat’s history exceeded all our expectations. Thank you so much, dear guests!

Last Thursday at the storytelling event in Mlini we had a truly fantastic crowd. I hope it’ll be the same this week. The event starts at 6:15 PM and takes place behind St Roch’s Church, right on the beach in Mlini. The talk is organized by , admission is free, and everyone is welcome.

Did you know that the Račić family mausoleum in Cavtat was created by the great Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović?
Meštrović led an incredibly fascinating life and created over 3,000 sculptures.
This photo was sent to me by my dear guests from Chicago – it shows a sketch of one of Meštrović’s two sculptures of Native Americans, located on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
The story behind the construction of the mausoleum in Cavtat is especially intriguing.
You can hear all about it – along with many other fascinating details from Cavtat’s history – every Friday at a free storytelling event organized by the Cavtat-Konavle Tourist Board and Hotel Croatia.
It starts at 6:30 PM in the room next to the piano bar. Everyone is welcome!

About 15 days ago, a lecture titled "Dark Tourism – A Global Phenomenon and the Story of Kupari" was held in Croatian, organized by the Tourist Board of Župa dubrovačka. We took the opportunity to film a promo video about the storytelling events in Mlini. Here are a few photos from the event, and we hope to share the video with you soon.

This spring, in collaboration with , we held several workshops for primary school students. The older ones had the opportunity to learn the basics of public speaking, storytelling, and presentation skills, while the younger groups were introduced to fascinating facts from the time of the Dubrovnik Republic. The workshops took place in the beautiful setting of the historic Lazareti complex, which was once used as a quarantine during plague outbreaks.

I’m happy to announce that, in collaboration with the Župa Dubrovačka Tourist Board, we’re launching the Storytelling Experience in Mlini. Kicking off tomorrow, the program will take place every Thursday at 6:15 PM, until October 30th. The event is held in English, admission is free, and no registration is required. In case of bad weather, we’ll move inside the St. Roch Church.
