Removing the cannon on July 11, 1965 from the Austrian warship "Triton" which sank in 1859 near Lokrum island in front of Old Town of Dubrovnik.After more than a century, on July 11, 1965, thanks to the persistence of divers, with the help of the "Dinar" crane, two cannons out of a total of three that remained from the explosion of the Austrian warship "Triton" with a length of 30 meters and which had two masts. On May 9, 1859, there was an explosion in the warehouse with ammunition. Only nine people were saved. The stone cross monument to the fallen crew members was built and erected by Archduke Maximilian of Habsburg, the supreme commander of the Austrian navy who came to Dubrovnik with the yacht "Fantasia" on May 12, 1859 and fell in love with the beauty of Lokrum island. Those two cannons are still on the city walls today, and one of them is on the fortress of St. John and faces Lokrum, and the other is in front of the entrance to the maritime museum.
