Do you know there is a connection between Dubrovnik and Toulouse? 🇨🇵
If you take a closer look, you will see that not all roof tiles are the same colour. During the Independence war, Dubrovnik was severely damaged and 70% of the roofs were destroyed. In order to star the reconstruction, UNESCO tried to find matching tiles
and that's where Toulouse comes in the picture. Toulouse, called the Pink City, has the most similar colour of the roofs and theirs companies produced more than 200000 tiles for Dubrovnik, a project worth $ 9 millions. 💰

The south wind, known as jugo, brings in large quantities of rain and dark clouds. Not only this heavy air causes bad mood, but jugo is blamed for everything; from low productivity, headaches to mental breakdowns.🤯
In the old Republic of Dubrovnik, no laws were passed while jugo was blowing as it was believed to tamper in ones judgment. There are even old stories of people getting away with murder by using jugo as a defence argument!🌬️
