The tour starts from the town of Hvar and takes you through the inland of the island to the old village of Brusje. ad that connects Hvar and Stari Grad so you will have the chance to enjoy epic panoramas and see other old villages and plains. We’ll make a short break by a 100 years old Japjenica (i.e. limekiln) which was built for the purpose of producing lime (traditional house building and white washing material). Back in the days lime production made an important trade on Hvar. Next stop is Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Croatia, dating back from 384 B.C. Accompanied by your guide you will walk around the street of Stari Grad and enjoy its peacefulness. From there tour continues for the little town of Vrboska. We will be driving through the Stari Grad Plain, known as Ager or Hora which is the oldest, continuously farmed agricultural site on the Mediterranean islands. After a short walk through Vrboska, also known as the “Little Venice” of Hvar we will have a short ride to the Agrotourism PHAROS where a real feast awaits you. In the middle of UNESCO protected area you will taste award winning wines, olive oils and other Dalmatian delicacies. Rich, four course menu includes: tasting 3 types of olive oil, cheese, prosciutto, salted and marinated fish, traditional peka meal (meat cooked for several hours with potatoes and spices, in covered iron pot set on coals), traditional Dalmatian desert; each course paired with a different wine. Apart from enjoying different varieties of Dalmatian delicacies your hosts will gladly show you around the estate: their old wine cellars, the animals, planted fruit and vegetables and other herbs. From the Agrotourism the tour continues back to the town of Hvar.
