⚓️ Yesterday we set sail on the Korcula Boat Adventure Tour — and the Adriatic had a lesson waiting for us. 🌊

☀️ June 6. 23°C, clear skies, sea temperature 22°C. A perfect day on the water — or so it seemed.

Anchored at the Mokalo shipwreck, the boat began to roll. Slowly, rhythmically, unexpectedly. No wind. No storm in sight. Just long, low, perfectly regular waves moving beneath the hull as if the sea had a pulse of its own.

What we experienced was the dead sea — swell in sailing terms. It happens when strong winds create waves far out at open sea — and those waves keep travelling long after the wind has weakened or stopped completely. 🌀

Some of our guests felt them floating above the wreck. Others with wine in hand on deck, waiting for the next swimming stop, calmer waters, coves, and bays of Korcula archipelago. ☀️🏖🌿
