Due to the bad weather forecast, the following festival LOSINAVA events scheduled for tomorrow (Friday, September 11) are unfortunately postponed:

❌ 9th Night Regatta of Traditional Boats – 7:30 PM, Mali Lošinj port

Experience the nighttime magic of the sea! As part of festival LOSINAVA, the port of Mali Lošinj will light up with traditional sails during the 9th Night Regatta of Traditional Boats.

Handcrafted wooden boats will glide through the bay illuminated against the evening sky, showcasing the timeless craft of traditional sailing right along the waterfront.

Long before modern roads connected every corner of Mali Lošinj's deep natural bay, daily life moved across the sea. For generations, the barkarioli (local boatmen) were the heartbeat of harbor transit, rowing residents, fishermen, and goods across the port in handcrafted wooden pasara boats.

During the LOSINAVA festival, you can relive this maritime tradition with a complimentary boat ride alongside local boatman Mr. Steno Vidulić! 🚣‍♂️

"ADDIO" Salute to the Captain – Historical Reenactment of Sailors' Farewell –

Experience one of the most touching moments in Lošinj’s maritime history during festival LOSINAVA – the reenactment of the traditional sailors' farewell, "ADDIO"!

For centuries, the Church of the Annunciation on Cape Annunziata stood as a sanctuary of prayer, tears, and hope. From this very point, Lošinj’s women, mothers, and daughters gathered to the sound of church bells, waving white handkerchiefs to bid farewell to their loved ones as sailing ships embarked on long and treacherous voyages across the open sea.

Join us at Cape Annunziata to witness this authentic portrayal of island tradition, love, and longing, brought to life through traditional folk costumes and song.

Come and honor the golden era of Lošinj's seafaring heritage!
