🎹✨ On Friday, May 30, 2026, the concert “Silent Mountains” took place in the Parish Church of St. Stephen in Motovun as part of the 27th edition of the international organ festival Organum Histriae. The unique combination of the powerful sound of historic organs and the mystical tones of the alphorn created an unforgettable musical atmosphere within the magnificent sacred setting of Motovun. ⛪🎶🏔️

World-renowned musicians Carlo Torlontano on the alphorn and Francesco Di Lernia on the organ showcased their exceptional artistry through their original Duo Alphorn & Organ project, which has been captivating audiences around the world for years. For the very first time in Istria, the audience had the opportunity to experience the live sound of the alphorn—an instrument deeply connected to Alpine traditions, nature, and ancient musical stories. 🌲🏔️✨🎵

A special thank you to Elena Roce, organizer of the international organ festival Organum Histriae, for her dedication and tireless efforts in preserving, promoting, and enhancing the value of our precious organ heritage, as well as for bringing outstanding artists and unique musical programs to Motovun. 🙏🎼💫

Together, we journeyed through centuries of history hidden within our ancient stone walls 🏰 Mate Mekis, discovered the fascinating world of Istrian truffles 🍄🐕 Tartufi Istra, admired breathtaking views over the Mirna Valley 🌄, and celebrated the authentic flavors of our region through its renowned wines, with a special focus on the noble Teran and Istrian Malvasia.🍷✨ Vina Fakin - fakin good wines

Moments like these remind us that the true beauty of travel lies not only in the landscapes we see 🌍, but in the people we meet 🤝, the stories we share 📚, and the connections we create along the way.
