🧡 Bonfire on the Sea, Live Music and Istrian Flavours: Dajla Celebrates Its Patron Saint 🧡
Novigrad-Cittanova invites you to Dajla’s Feast of St. John the Baptist. From 24 to 27 June, enjoy a vibrant programme of cultural, recreational and musical events organised by the local community, accompanied by a rich selection of food and drinks available daily from 6:00 PM.
Join us on Wednesday for a performance by Trio Fortuna at 9:30 PM, followed by the traditional bonfire on the sea, one of the most cherished highlights of the celebration, accompanied by local choirs. On Friday, the festivities continue with a concert by Alfa Time Band and the popular “Guess the Weight of the Prosciutto” contest. The lucky winner will be announced on Saturday evening after the concert by Tu i Tamo Band.

Yesterday, our charming town was transformed into a spectacular stage as the 11th Grand Prix International Majorette Parade marched through the heart of Novigrad! 🗺️✨
​Led by a brilliant brass band Puhački orkestar '' Naša sloga'' BABIĆI , the international teams brought incredible energy, synchronized choreography, and smiles that lit up the entire evening. The procession started along the scenic Mandrač harbor, wound through our beautiful old town streets, and built up to the grand finale at Veliki Trg (Piazza Grande). 🌟👑
​These talented girls have been competing at the Novigrad Sports Hall for the Grand Prix, but last night, they brought the magic straight to the locals and visitors, making our already charming town feel completely magical. 🎶🇭🇷

This Saturday, Novigrad - Cittanova will host the 11th Grand Prix in Majorette Sport, an international competition bringing together talented majorettes and majorette teams from across Europe.
The Sports hall will become the stage for impressive choreographies, synchronized performances and high-level sporting displays that combine dance, rhythm, precision and artistic expression.
A special highlight will be the international parade of majorette teams accompanied by a brass band , taking place on Saturday, 20 June. Starting at 19:30 from the Mandrač harbour, the parade will wind its way through the charming streets of Novigrad’s old town and the Piazza Grande square, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, colour and movement.

🇬🇧 Summer in Novigrad is just getting started! ☀️
Two exciting weekends dedicated to sport, dance and community spirit are still ahead. From 19–20 June, Novigrad will host the Majorette Teams Parade and Majorette Sports Competition, while from 26–28 June the town will welcome the European Cheerleading Championship, bringing competitors from across Europe.
Next week, Dajla will celebrate its patron saint, St. John the Baptist, with a traditional feast and a festive programme for all generations. You can find the full festival programme at coloursofistria.com.

🇮🇹 L'estate a Cittanova è appena iniziata! ☀️
Ci aspettano ancora due fine settimana all'insegna dello sport, della danza e dello stare insieme. Dal 19 al 20 giugno Cittanova ospiterà la Parata dei gruppi di majorette e il Campionato di Majorettes, mentre dal 26 al 28 giugno arriverà il Campionato Europeo di Cheerleading, con partecipanti provenienti da numerosi Paesi europei.
